An Acrostic Poem

Trust But Verify

          Try turning on the daily news
          Reported to be true.
          Use common sense to verify
          Such things as told to you.
          Too often you will hear a lie before the day is through.
 
          Best do some checking on your own
          Unless it doesn't matter.
          There’re ways to find what is real and not just useless
            chatter.
 
          Vouch for your friends but not their facts
          Especially when you know they're wrong.
          Respect how others might believe.
          It’s what you do, to get along.
          Forget insisting your way’s right. 
          You’ll likely never win that fight.
