Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
Growing tired but desire still fires.

Desire Still Lives

by HarryT

Oh, I hear those shouting morning creaks
Bones that once danced, now only squeak
What happened to us my skeletal friend?
How come you guys can now hardly bend?

Once I bounced up steps in a couple of bounds
Now I climb sluggishly with hard breath sounds
In the mirror, there’s now a guy with silvered hairs
They come with a life sparked with interesting flares

Yet, a bit tired, thoughts still beat with more desires
Wanting to do my best burns with fervent fires
Eyes dimmed, yet filled with wisdom untold
Stories on yellowed pages, waiting to unfold

Hoping to continue in a meaningful decline
Preserving my body like fine vintage wine
