Acrostic Poem

Flippant Grudge

by jackie rae

Fundamentally we're flawed

Lament the past and what was lost

Immense wounds, all inward scars

Pen to paper, a coin toss

Paid the price on the cross

Average price, a hefty cost

Noble truth or all for nought?

Take exception, to what taught

                      *****

Given time, these wounds will heal

Recluse myself, refuse to kneel

Universe, please take the wheel

Divine light holds more appeal

God can take another name

Elevate each soul the same
