The essence of Van Gogh

A Nonet for Vincent

Enraptured, I gaze at the brilliance

of Vincent’s impassioned brushstrokes

swirling across azure sky

pulsating with promise,

furrowed fields of gold

ablaze with light.

What he saw

I now

feel.
