Ode to Self Help Books

Self-helps make me well,

They rescue me from depression

I think of good things

Never talk about negative experiences

Don't blame anyone is what it says

I remind myself of one good day

I only remember the good deeds

The bad things I forget them

I only talk about beautiful things

Only good stuff will come to me

I will always have nice days

self-help books want me to feel good

It is no shame in reading them books

It helps you from being out of sadness

I think of my family who tell me to feel optimistic

I thank those books that shaped me

who I am today, the positive, happy me
