Farewell From the Horizon

by dovemarie

I gaze at a winter sunset
Dazzling beauty, never to forget

Golden-white clouds drift in,
Surrounding pale pink rays
I feel a spasm of pain within
As fluorescent beams end these days

A fiery star sinks below the treeline
Moonglow meets sunlight; the two combine
Like lovers arms entwine
