Remembering

evanescent memories of childhood

searing vinyl seats in summer heat

tingling ache of scarlet sunburn

bucket and spade at the beach

christmas morning delights

books, books and more books

fun times with friends

mum and dad

safety

love

 

~~~

 

but

my most

nostalgic

memories are

of our purring cat

pure white with golden eyes

embodiment of pure love

snowy, friend, co-conspirator

sleeping peacefully in my doll’s pram

wholly content in his sanctuary
