Dusk after a January snowfall
A January sky at dusk.
Cornucopia of colors collide
in shades of deep purple,
maize and pink salmon,
reminiscent of a Kincaid painting,
A skilled brush upon canvas,
far too flawless to be real.
Below, perfect, priistine landscapes,
unblemished, washed clean,
lay blanketed in mounds of brilliant white,
shrouding the frozen earth.
Fiery colors flash in a twilight sky;
iridescent bursts of light beam down,
playing upon new fallen snow.
