To My Howie WITH LOVE
I remember the first day we met. I went to the airport to pick you up. A tiny pet carrier held you, and there was excitement when our eyes met. We instantly bonded.
It was a bond which lasted for eleven years. You took up a lot of room in my heart. Your puppy kisses were so sweet. For some reason, you never had puppy breath.
Your death destroyed me. I can’t believe you’re gone.

When I was on the site for a VERY long time, Howie and Bernie were often a big part of my portfolio. I published a book about them called, 'The Adventures of Howie and Bernie,' and while I will write a longer story about the event of his death, this is just a brief glimpse into my grief.
