To blossom and grow
The Dream
by Jean Hornby
Once upon a time I had a dream.
A dream that would not let go and so it found a resting place to hover.
The subconscious mind welcomed its persistent.
Occasionally this dream would let itself be known.
During these outbursts it would torture and play havoc in my consious mind
After many battles I eventually gave in and we became one.
And now self doubt no longer haunts me and my writing block has gone.
Once upon a time I was a struggling writer,
I doubted myself, rejected my talents and took rejection personal.
The saddest thing of all was .....
I was loosing me.
But now accepting who I am
Has given me a contract all of my own.
This author's contract is much bigger than any publishers contract.
Because I , the writer
am finally at peace with myself and this alone is priceless.
Don't give up , don't let go , your subconscious will plant the seed that you will sow.
Remember, you the writer will always blossom and grow.
