There’s something that I’d like to mention

that bothers me when it occurs,

It hurts when so many folks take time to “view,”

But can’t stop and say a few words.

It’s certainly their right to do so

But I bet they’d like it if they

Had a large group of people who looked at their work,

who stopped and had something to say.

I looked at a post I had entered;

61 people gave it a view.

Out of that number, some folks did respond,

But 13 reviews are too few.

Promoting is very important.

Critique and/or money’s the choice

Sometimes it’s hard climbing the ladder

To get a comment on your “voice.”

We’re all striving for recognition,

And comments that help us to grow,

A little encouragement goes a long way;

I’ve room for improvement, I know.

And so, if I may, I’ve a question:

Unless you are loath to review,

Would you maybe take a few minutes

to respond with a cool thought or two?

for

You could determine the future

Of a new Seuss or Kipling, who knows?

 and you might be mentioned, on TV,

when I win a Nobel for my prose.
