Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A story of love

Between the pages

by Willie P. Smith

I placed a red rose
In her hair,
It was so pretty,
She left it there.

I was sure I put it
In the right place,
When I saw a tear
Roll down her lovely face.

She always liked
Pretty things,
They didn't have to be
Diamonds or expensive rings.

She thanked me with a kiss
That was not expected,
But it was clear
It was purposely directed.

Our love story
Is one to share.
Life can be wonderful,
For ones who care.

She left me too soon
In despair
But I always knew,
Her love was there.

She left a diary
Praising our love stages.
I found the pressed rose
Between the pages.
