The Four Rings

Let me tell you a story

About the awesome love of my life

From a sixth grade girlfriend

To becoming my wife

On the playground of Lindberg School

She accepted her WOULD YOU Ring

When she said yes and that was cool

Then Christmas Eve Nineteen Fifty Nine

And the stars were alighned as they always do

When all my butterflies settled down

She received her Ring titled WILL YOU

To say she was happy - understatement yes

Now that was the second of her Rings of Four

But to be right honest

I wasn't then keeping score

Then on August Fourteenth Nineteen Sixty

She accepted her DO YOU Ring

And I kid you not cause I was there

We all heard the Angles sing

On February Fourteen Twenty Twelve

My life experienced a new low

GOD called her home to be with Him

Now her Fourth Ring is a HALO
