My stupidities as a child

Doorbell

by RainbewLatte

Grandma never let me ring the doorbell. So upon seeing two steps and a flowerpot beneath a family friend’s buzzer, I knew it was my chance.

"Let me ring the doorbell," I begged.

"If you’re tall enough," she replied.

But upon taking the first step, I was still too short.

So I took the second.

I raised my right leg to test the height, and soon I knew what to do.

With a stroke of determination, I stepped onto the brim of the flowerpot with my right foot, only for it to topple and shatter on my knee.
