Three Sisters go on an Outing

Mad as Two Wet Hens

by Ginda Simpson

There was a gentle wind blowing that day

so we three sisters went out to play.

Packed a picnic - bread, fruit and wine so sweet,

hiked into the woods to escape the heat.

We chose a shaded mountain path to climb

along a stream, the water cold, it was divine.

The wine disappeared, sip by sip;

it was I who decided we should skinny dip.

This was too much for Rachel, the youngest, the prude;

Did not mean to startle her, as we romped in the nude.

While we giggled and splashed for fun in the buff,

Rachel upped and left us, she had had enough.

We stayed behind, as she went on her way,

carefree as children, we continued to play,

until it was time to go, our clothes were missing,

we knew who dunnit and we were hissing.
