Waiting

I often wish that I could see,

what lies ahead in store for me.

Will I get credit for the good,

or have I been misunderstood.

Down through life I have tried to see,

if I could give the best of me.

At times I won, at times I failed,

throughout it all much good prevailed.

When earthly time has come to go,

I hope to join life's afterglow.

United there at Heavens gate,

until that time, I shall await.

I'm walking on life's final mile=

I'll try to face it with a smile.
