My version of The Wizard Of OZ

No Place Like Home

by nomi338

Dorothy Gale, and her little dog Toto
Were taken away by a windstorm,
Taken from the place where she was born.
Dropped on the Wicked Witch of the East,
Took away her shoes and gained the Munchkins' release.
Assured by the good witch, she'd face no blame,
Dot wanted to go back to from where she came.
Told to follow the yellow brick road,
She'd find a wizard who'd lighten her load.
Along the way, she met a scarecrow, a tin man, and a lion,
The first lacked a brain, the next lacked a heart, the third was a coward.
They thought the wizard's name was Howard.
His name was not Howard, it was Dave.
He could have used a haircut and a shave.
He said that he could help them,
But first they had to help him.
They had to kill the wicked witch of the West,
A terrible person who was really a mess.
She had flying monkeys and that is not all,
Rumors said she was almost ten feet tall!
Dorothy succeeded, and she was rewarded.
Telling her story to the folks back home,
Some of them felt the girl was retarded.

This is my twisted version of the classic Wizard Of OZ. I apologize for my use of the term Retarded. I am not calling Dorothy retarded, I am merely saying that some people may have thought she was.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
