My Mother's Day Gift

She gave me my life.
She gave me her love.
She left me too soon
When called from above.

She filled me with hope
While she was still here.
She valued the things
That I still hold dear.

She taught me to give,
To others be kind,
To keep those in need
Not far from my mind.

The wisdom she shared
Words cannot convey.
My gift is my love

On this Mother's Day.
