Lightning struck

He greeted me with, "How you doing?"

I said heck, I guess so,so.

It's the bolt of lightning you don't see

That knocks you down you know.

So keep your head up, I said,

Wishing him good luck.
When the lightning begins to flash

It's too late for you to duck.

"I've weathered a few storms," he said,

"So far I've had some luck.

I've been knocked around a bit

But so far not lightning struck."

We talked about our experiences

And agreed it sure is frightning,

If you don't please the right people

You,re bound to be struck by lighning.
