A solitary tree is

Dying to live

by Wendy G

Thirsty tree in drought,

Yearning for soft gentle rain,

Struggles to survive …

Groaning and weeping, so sad,

Does not want to die!

Branches raised, asking for help –

Answered prayer – thirst quenched!

Tree soaks up God’s precious gift –

Beautiful resurrection.
