I'm Watching Over My Wife

by pookietoo

We were married several years;
Shared our hopes, dreams, laughter, and tears
We stuck to it through thick and thin
And cheered for our sports teams to win.

I'm grateful you were a great cook;
Always cared about how you look.
When I needed you, you were there.
You showed me that you truly care.

You shared with me your mind and heart
And missed me when we were apart.
Like Christ, you showed me how to live;
I loved compliments you would give.

Suddenly I became quite ill.
My life would end; it was God's will.
I'm now in my heavenly home;
And you are lonely and alone.

You can still talk to me I know
Even when you let your tears flow.
I love you more than words can say.
I will see you again one day.
