Letting go of the pain

Aching with Grief

by Mia Twysted

She sat alone, aching with grief

So many chapters went untold

Couldn't believe what he'd dare to do

Such hurtful acts, the words she heard

She sat alone, aching with grief

Her eyes shut as if blind-folded

Exposed as if she's been cut through

The line between right and wrong blurred

She sat alone, aching with grief

The knife stuck out, his body cold

Trembling hands, she bid him ado

Letting go with just one last word

She sat alone, aching with grief

No more meekness time to be bold

Let go of the pain be anew

Free, she flies away like a bird
