The Shadow

Tara, a young child, sees a shadow,
what can it be, there's no one around?
She's trick-or-treating tonight,
but decides to follow it.
 
Tara wonders where it's headed.
She's never seen such a supernatural shape.
She does her best to pursue it.
A human firgure suddenly appears.
 
What can it be?
Is her mind playing tricks on her?
Maybe it's a monster, a vampire, or a she-hulk.
Oh, no it heads towards her home.
 
Carefully, she gets closer
and sees the figure is her mom.
Mom asked, "Oh, hi Honey! Did you have fun this Halloween?"
Tara just stares, she's at a loss for words.
Thank God it wasn't a vampire, Tara thinks.
