Floating Through Fire

We flew like dashing scoundrels,  specks of embers shadowing the blaze. We flecked the dusk-scorched sky, lions in silhouette,  predators dancing on air. For every perfect sunset, there's a thought, darkening perception, chasing light's perfection. The beauty spots of life are in our hands; soft blemishes enhancing  the canvases of life. Black words upon the orange of a dream, nightmare's purpose wrought, indelicate perceptions on my screen
