Backup

Shaved head, wet sponge, strapped in. Ready to pay the piper. Storm outside, thunder and lightning, no last-minute phone call from the governor. Preacher praying, witnesses watching, lightning crashes. Lights go out, big commotion, prisoner breathes sigh of relief.
"Sam, would you flip that switch for the backup generator."
"Sure."
