Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Time will tell-aabb

Will We Survive

I think about it eve'ry night.
It gives me fear, adds to my fright.
I'm worn and need to take my bed
and wonder what must lie ahead.

Our world is warming eve'ry day.
I feel an urgent need to pray.
There's violence, shootings, wars around
and storms and fires daily abound.

Congress won't work with each other.
It seems no one is our brother.
Inflation's eating up our wealth,
that's causing damage to our health.

The covid virus is around,
it's spread to nearly eve'ry town.
We spot space aliens, through their glow
and wonder if they're friend or foe.

Our world is in a drastic mess.
It seems we are no longer blessed.
I'm old so it's not about me.
Will we survive, just wait and see.
