An unexpected loss.

Loss

by RainbewLatte

The air was cold,
with a chilling breeze.
I was cold,
but could not sneeze.
As tears began to fill my eyes,
my vision blurred,
to the sound of cries.
Spoken words, all in a slur.
Up I looked, into the skies.

For I just lost,
someone so dear.
To get him back, at any cost.
Pierced through this heart, like a spear.
What had happened,
was not clear.
I could only be more saddened.

For I just lost someone so dear.
Here I am, left in despair.
I never thought the end was near.
Now here I am, without a spare.
