A flower bulb's guilt for wishing the death of winter

Repent!

by Pangalactic

Repent!
I must repent,
For I have fantasized
this seasons demise

Longed for the grace of spring to
stab this frigid ground

The cold earth has been my captor
oh so long

Even now
There is warmth
above my head, and
Earthworm tremors

softening this
unsympathetic soil

I feel the Sun has
the death of winter in
its jaws

Soon I will push,
I will push with all my strength

Break free of this burial bed
where I have slumbered long
through winter's dread

Soon the heat of summer radiance

Soon the air will know my scent

The world will gaze

my painted brilliance

soon the end of this torment

With might I will break free
the surface

and in the rays
Of God

Repent!
