An animal up in a tree
Came running down, and I could see
It was a squirrel without a tail.
The creature jumped and tried to sail
Down to a branch, but he fell short;
In horror, he tried to abort,
But ‘twas too late, for he’d forgot
His tail, for balance, he had not.
