At what point is it just too late...
Too late

She stood on the edge. How did it come to this? Was it too late? Did she really have to do this? Her heart pounded. She reached into her memories, going back through the events that had led her here. The problem was that she always let other people run her life. And so here she stands on the edge. She stares down, afraid. Takes a deep breath and looks up... at her waiting groom.
