Man of Honor

That's My Dad

by Carlos' girl

My father was a man of honor
All God's blessings seemed upon him
A man of principle and grace
Divine love upon his face

Always just and always fair
A husband and a dad to care
All the elements mixed within
Had a special way with him

Strong but gentle never shy
Looked each person in the eye
Firm handshake and steady gait
Charity that did not wait

Firm resolve but humorous
In his presence simply bliss
Loving kindness was his power
Just a man for every hour

My Father contest entry

For my father with love.

"All the elements mixed within" is a paraphrase of a line in a poem by Shakespeare; I don't know the title. It is not a direct quote.
