October has always been
My favorite time of the year
My favorite month of all.

It is not just because
I was born in late October
No it more than that.

In October, as the days get shorter,
The weather gets crisp and cold,
Everything turns colorful
With the coldness comes the fall.

The wonders of nature
The bright colors come alive
Everything seems to be so bright.

I anticipate Halloween
My favorite holiday as a child
Dressing up going out
Trick or treating.

Eating candy
And sweets
All night long.

On my birthday,
I often reflect on life
Where I came from
And where I am going

In late October, I took the plunge
Married the love of my life,
After a six-week romance.

I knew she was the one
For this October baby,

Even more reason
To love October.
