“Lord God, my mind has been full of sinful thoughts. I ask your forgiveness and absolution so I may be granted a seat in the kingdom of Heaven.”
God listened to this outpouring of confession. In recent years it had become necessary for him to personally hear everyone’s last confession before granting them entry. This one was no exception. With a satisfied smile, God tossed the keys to the receiver.
Satan exited the confessional. Shoulders slumped and with a dejected sigh he slowly made his way towards the gate. If he couldn’t bear them, he may as well join them.
