Written to the tune of 'Jingle Bells'

Billy Joe (Jingle Bells)

by Toni Newell

Sitting on the couch,
He is waiting for his run,
Billy Joe, the poodle,
Looking for some fun.
He's waiting for his mum,
To go and fetch the lead,
Take him to the park,
For lots of fun indeed.

Billy Joe, Billy Joe,
Let's go for a run,
It will be a good time,
Having so much fun.
Billy Joe, Billy Joe,
We can play some ball,
Run around, up and down,
Better than football.

When the run is over,
And it's time for them to go,
Billy Joe is panting,
And he's walking very slow.
Mum picks up the pace,
Tugging on his lead,
Anxious to get home,
So he can have a feed.

Billy Joe, Billy Joe,
Let's go for a run,
It will be a good time,
Having so much fun.
Billy Joe, Billy Joe,
We can play some ball,
Run around, up and down,
Better than football.
