A Raindrop Kiss

by Bonnie Seach

When I am old and very grey,
I'll think of you each rainy day. I'll think of how we casually
met ~

The walks, the talks, the flowers... And yet...
Most precious moment of them all ~
Being close to you, while raindrops fall

Who knows what poet's fancy fell
Upon a setting that would tell ~
Those tender moments once again
Each time I feel the pattering rain

The dewy drops would be my tears
Should yearning grow with passing years ~
May those salt droplets satisfy ~
The dreams born of a rain-filled sky.

Then on a bright and sun-filled day,
I'll watch the clouds all roll away ~
And smile in wiser reminisce... The softness of a Raindrop Kiss
