Today We Learn Iambic Meter

Iambic meter's simple verse
you kids today will overcome.
Just say aloud and all rehearse
da Dum da Dum da Dum da Dum.

Now write your piece like Shakespeare would
while mocking those who wish they could.
Today you'll get the A's you earn
through basic skills a child could learn.

A RISPETTO is a classic Italian short poetic form that has 2 stanzas of 4 lines each. The rhyme scheme is abab ccdd. It is written in iambic tetrameter (8 syllables per line) The form is good for children as it relatively short.
