Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Forever home now

Stray street dog

I was left all alone
Made the street my home
No longer lost, but found
Surrender to the pound

So strange human kind
Fed me: food forever on my mind
Clipped and bathed me no more fleas
I was caged; could someone love me please?

My forever home filled with love
My human sent to rescue from above
Now I have a loving friend
She will love me til' the end

Contest Entry Love Poem: Back in febuary my beloved dog passed away. I have been alone and lost without his love, he was sixteen. A friend who is a supervisor at the pound found Benny. Now we are both loved and he has filled the hole in my heart. Benny is a Maltese cross poodle.
