Another reason why I write

I Must Write Right!

When I write, my soul
pours out of my pores
Daylight, then night falls-
I must write some more!

When pain wraps around
my lonesome, weary heart
I cry, sigh, then try
to sort that which confounds

For I have found
when love abounds
it is the one pure cure~

that settles my fears,
dries my tears
My reality seems
so very near

     ~But~

When sadness
grips my mind,
I find it is designed to
balance this madness

It's truly gladness
which I seek,
to take a peek-
at my future

which is more secure
than it was before

I'll go through that door
to the " killing floor",
then I'll pause, reflect-
my thoughts will collect

Then I'll know that
I HAVE TO WRITE
SOME MORE!

For I am  poor,
rich in more
of what this world
despises

as my future unfurls,
my boundaries
I must appraise
to overcome

I must think, 
plan, you understand,
for the past becomes the
present

Then the days
slip quietly away
you find that you've
been torturing yourself

Put your fears on a shelf
But never forget them
for it is fear
that draws us nearer
to that "reality"
of which I have spoken

Take my simple rhyme
as a sincere token 
           of my
desire to take you higher

To the Universal
Consciousness
releasing that which
confounds us 
Just beyond us

     lie the

age-old dreams,
so it seems,
hanging on to the
ragged edges

Of that sanality
making it twist and turn-

out much better than 
I could have hoped!
I have a secure plan
that helps me cope

For out of the past
comes the present
To acknowledge this
is presently pleasant

We shape our own
destiny~
Consider this to be
free,

Truly free~
