indian american during the second world war

Wind talkers

by bournemouth

You were smart
Before you start.
You ought to eat cod,
When you discover the code,
That was not Chinese,
That defied the Japanese.
In the name of your soul fathers,
You, that were born Indian American,
You betray your blood brothers,
But for the ending of the wars,
In the Pacific ocean,
The stripes and stars
Banners had to float
On the islands and on your boat.
You whistled,
In silent, titled
Messages,
That were as new passages
Through the victory,
And the return to your sanctuary.
