a poem
pretty starfish
by judester
Like a sad little puppy
scratching at the pane
of the Ruthi's Pet Emporium,
Thank you, come again.
Like a big old grumpy bear
scratching at my butt,
tires of hibernation,
now looking for some nuts.
Like a pretty starfish
taken from the sea
now hanging dry and dusty
behind a bar in Tennesse.
Modern day Rapunzel,
orphans pining for a home.
this tethered weary vagabond
longing again to roam.
