Dressed to the nines

Just another Tom Cat

by JLR

Methinks, I appear dashing, debonair!
All decked-out putting on quite an air,
my mind caught betwixt and between
am I the prettiest on the silver screen?

As I make myself ready
to meow at the moon
just like an alley cat
prowling the dark in June.
'Tis my fancy dress, I hope,
will make her swoon,
licking down my whiskers,
I start to softly croon.

Slinking, sneaking behind the other tomcats.
to the roof I pounce, complete with top hat.
I pawed my way to center stage ... and just sat
like a thief in the night, mewing ... where is she at?
