Love song for my departed wife

I'll Join You Soon

by jaybird1

I write again for my lost wife.
Now you are gone, I have no life.
E'en though so long we've been apart,
thoughts of you linger in my heart.

The kids we bore, the things we shared,
showed to the world how much we cared.
Now they are gone, gone on their way
and I must struggle, day by day.

Through days and nights I feel alone,
can't even call you on the phone.
Though you are there and I am here,
you surely know I love you dear.

At ninety six, I'll join you soon,
amidst the stars and golden moon.
We will resume our love affair,
somewhere up there in Heavens's air.
