Lucid Obscurity

by Y. M. Roger

‘Tis said within the dreams of man
Lies true eternity’s charade,
Not once or twice but hidden well
‘Neath currents of the mind’s cascade…

Relentless are the winds of time
Against our self-built masquerade,
Each day, each hour, debris is caught
‘Neath currents of the mind’s cascade…

‘Til morning when the sun is gone
And no more can the heart evade,
Breathtaking visions come to light
‘Neath currents of the mind’s cascade…

For there is found the precipice,
There sings forever’s serenade:
Concealed in cryptic reverie
‘Neath currents of the mind’s cascade…

A Kyrielle is usually made up of three or more stanzas. For this prompt, a minimum of three stanzas is required.
