Luke

by DragonSkulls

The year is 2021. The original Star Wars movie, The Empire Strikes Back, has not yet been
created until this year.

The scene:
Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are having an intense lightsaber battle in one of the carbon-freeze
chambers within the Cloud City of Bespin. Luke is not yet a true Jedi and hasn't enough power of
'the force' to defeat Darth Vader but desperately tries.

The battle rages on, lightsabers clashing in the dimly lit chamber. Soon the fight makes its way onto
a narrow catwalk that stretches into the center of the enormous chamber.

Darth Vader gets the best of him and knocks Luke to the floor, hovering over him with his lightsaber
in Luke's face, telling him he has lost. Darth Vader tries to convince Luke to turn to the dark side or
he shall die. Luke refuses and deflects his lightsaber, rolls and makes it to his feet again. A few more
blows in, Darth Vader parries one of Luke's strikes and counters, severing Luke's lightsaber hand
from his arm. Luke screams, "I will never join you," and crawls to the end of the catwalk, where he
has nowhere left to go.

Being the year 2021, where many changes have occurred over the decades, with sexuality,
transgenders and acceptance, it was time for Darth Vader to reveal the truth.

"Luke...I am your mother."
