“Water the flowers,” Dad said. On the way to the pump, I passed a little house. Inside, a window of Jesus with a bleeding heart. Did ghosts live there? I pushed the door and fell inside. Door locked; I screamed, keeping the ghosts at bay until the caretaker rescued me.
