It's like that
The Lady in Red
by lancellot
All night he did nothing but sit and stare,
As I batted my lashes and flung my hair. He must’ve been strong to resist my charm, Or perhaps he knew I would do him harm. ~ True, I have broken many hearts in a night. Some went easy; others put up a valiant fight. Still, one and all went down in fiery flames. Ripping mens' hearts is but one of my games. ~ But, he had something -- I’d never felt before. Suddenly, it was I who walked across the floor. He stood and bowed with a gentleman’s grace. And I saw my entire future written on his face. ~ Before he asked the question, my answer was yes. All on their own, my hands began to lift my dress. Quickly, his hands grasped me and stopped the act. Then he led me out of the room before I could react. ~ He said, “There’s no need for that on our first date.” I couldn’t believe it. At last, a man who could wait. Months passed, and our love blossomed like a flower. Married for two years today, I plan our baby shower. ~ And that is the story of how an escort became a wife. Happy in the suburbs, living a wonderful simple life. |
