Sometimes when the Blackening Clouds overhead are Cast...
Sometimes when the Sun above the sides to Hide...
Sometimes when the soaring stars Collide...
And, sometimes when God Decides?
November 23rd, 2003.
...
Today was not a good day nor a should day!
It started out with my wife Carolyn Ann...
Understand?
When you give a kiss goodbye?
It's not supposed to be Forever?
...
"Forever"
Wears many masks.
Yes, from a"Always and Ever" To "Ever and Forever Lasting"
As if cast in a Cement Casting!
7:00 a.m.
...
Run, run, before it gets you!
And, she woke up that November 23rd 2003 day.
But something would soon go wrong?
...
She started first acting strange?
So, I decided to get her checked up at the local supermarket in New Jersey.
I remember the Pathmart Supermarket had a blood pressure machine.
Yes, that you could check your blood pressure.
...
After I settled her in and took the test.
(Which takes a few minutes)
Oddly, it registered what is supposed to be a normal 120 over 80.
As 65 over 40?
...
So, I took her home and that was in a latter morning hours but in the early afternoon?
She started to place a temperature?
1:00 p.m.
...
When I felt her forehead.
I knew it wasn't normal and asked if she wanted me to take her to the hospital.
And, she refused.
...
Carolyn had some medical training when she was going to college.
So, she told me to cool her down with cool washcloths.
So I complied.
2:00 p.m.

****

It was a little later now in the afternoon and we just settled down and talked on the couch and watched a little TV.
Things like I can never forget the look on my mother's face when she died.
...
I don't remember having dinner which we probably didn't some things weren't a happy day.
I asked the afternoon turned into the evening hours I prayed.
8:00 p.m.
...
I remember watching TV again till 1:00 in the morning.
(When Saturday Night Live)
Had finished.
And, I was very tired so I asked her if she needed to go to bathroom before going to bed and she refused.
I tested her mental capacity by holding up fingers and she complied.
So, off the bed I went.
4:00 a.m.
...
I was awoken bruntly by my wife Carolyn.
She was trying to make it from the bathroom into the bed.
She failed.
She then took on a Death Breath and collapsed!
Note:
Taking in a large gasp of oxygen is normal.
Yes, when the mind and body feels it's necessary.
And in this case?
Carolyn was in the beginning stages of a Heart Attack!
...
My first response was not to touch her but to get help.
So, I called 9-11 immediately!
And, then I went into action, responded, by reviving her!
I had not a clue but apparently, I must have struck a cord enough to restart her Heart!
...
In less than 5 minutes.
A Stafford officer responded followed by the paramedics.
They checked her blood pressure and her breathing and everything seemed fine?
(To calm before the storm)
...
The paramedics insisted on taking her to the hospital and she refused?
Of course they took her away and as a door closed I felt this eerie presence.
It was cold that day and with the doors being open and closed I could see my breath in the bedroom with just a light from the TV.
6:00 a.m.
...
I had called my closest daughter Kyle Erin Harbach Drum.
I told her what had happened and to get to the hospital immediately which was a short two and a half miles for her.
I gather together what I felt her needs would be and left to go over there to me Kyle.
6:15 a.m.
...
As I entered the hospital and went immediately to the Emergency Room Department.
I saw Kyle standing by the Emergency room door.
She was visibly upset and in tears.
When I asked her what was going on?
She simply responded.
'Mommy is dead!'
...
I made a few phone calls and had her best friend Beverly Morey and Beverly's husband John come to the hospital to pay their last respects.
