Birthdays after a certain age

Grumpy old Birthday boy.

Today is my Birthday
I'm finding it tough.
Didn't want another Birthday.
I've had quite enough.

However celebrations
are expected of me,
I'll have to comply
with friends and family.

I shouldn't complain
that I've gained another year.
Suppose I should be grateful
that I'm still here.
