Summertime Story
For our Summertime Story Contest we are looking for stories that somehow incorporate this time of year. The time of the year must play a part in the story. So you can focus on the heat or the activities of summer. But summer must somehow be a part of the story. Creative approaches are welcomed.
The topic of the story is open and can be of any genre (horror, science fiction, romance or non-fiction) as long as the contest judges can see a summertime theme in the story.
One entry per person. New entries only. No poetry. Minumum Length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words
The winners will be selected by the FanStory.com Contest Committee. A winner will be announced approximately one to two weeks after the deadline passes. The decision is final.
The winner takes away a $100 cash prize. All writers will receive feedback for their submission.
