Poetry Contest
Compose a FREE VERSE spiritual poem with a minimum of 8 lines
(free verse has no pattern of end rhyme lines, but it is acceptable as long as there is no set pattern--be careful not to create a pattern with any end rhymes IF you choose to use. It is acceptable to have no end rhymes.)
***Free Verse isn't haiku, sonnet, or any other structured poetry style
***NO music, videos anywhere, or animation
***1 picture (with no words attached)--1 color font--1 color background
picture is author's choice of source
***author notes are ok
***Dedication line or lines and/or title MAY BE be included in the body of the poem IF desired
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 30.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
